i am vicky's mother in law and what i am seeing is not right you are tearing apart a family and all this family wants is to be safe and be a family. I was raised to believe in this county but if this is how america treats families that really needs help to stay here i am ashamed. how would you feel if it was your family. vicky has been in my family going on 5 years and what i have seen of this family that you are hurting is that they are a very caring and devoted family and all they want is a chance to stay together and have the freedom to believe in their faith. yet also to be safe. the 2 daughters that are married needs their family here with them. these people have done every thing legal yet they are denied. but if they done elegal than they would have a chance there is something wrong with that. We teach our kids to do things legal  yet this family is being punished for doing things the legal way. please help them.

I have numerous friends who have gone through all of these legal steps to become legal citizens and paid greatly for that right. This family needs to be able to go through our legal system and stay securely in this society. I notice that we are working mightily to find ways to support illegal aliens who cross our borders without proper and legal paperwork. We seem to want to give the illegals all the rights and privileges of those who have done this properly and then punish those who have valid fears for returning to a country that wants to persecute them. Shame on us if we send them back and split up a family that needs to stay as a family unit in a safe environment. Unless we are Native Americans, our families came to this country for all the same reasons that the van der Speck family did. Where would the majority of Americans be if our ancestors had not fought for their religious freedom?
