Introduction:

One big family. Three Nationalities. ICE wants to deport the mom, the dad, and ten of the children, to a country where they are not safe. The past has proven that. Two daughters are allowed to stay in the US permanently. The rest is told to leave. America needs to know why they came here. There is a reason why they left their home country. They did not come here for economical reasons or to exploit the American welfare system. They work hard and are able and willing to keep doing this and to be self-sufficient. The van der Speks do not expect America to pay for them. They are not after the money of hard working Americans. They did have high hopes that America would help them protect their family unit. After all, they had heard what America stands for. They came here because they did not want to give in to a judge's demand to change their religious affiliation. Their trouble started because they distanced themselves from the dubious activities of influential relatives. The van der Spek's hoped for America to allow them to find refuge. The van der Spek's wanted the intimidating stalking to stop. The stress is eating them. For them, going back means the end of their family unit. What happens to the van der Spek family is in the hands of the American people. They have been here for more then ten years. They are not legal enough to stay. They are too legal to qualify for forms of deportation relief that are available to those immigrants who did not notify ICE of their arrival in the country. They are too legal because they have a real social security number. They are too legal to stay here because they did apply for these work cards every time their attorney advised them to and and they paid taxes. Only Americans can help this family to be allowed to stay together. Your help is needed and kindly appreciated. Site under construction. Completion of the site is expected within the next couple days.
